The best samples are taken in even lighting with no glares or shadows. The photo is as straight on as possible.
This is a great photo to have edited for engraving. All corners and sides of the card are almost perfectly square.
Not Good
Not Good! This photo will produce skewed engraving because it was taken at an angle. The lighting is great but the top if the recipe will be skinnier than the bottom - making it look almost pyramid shaped.

Not Good! - This photo is taken straight on but the shadows will produce engraving that is lighter and darker.
